Dead Cells gets Fatal Falls DLC in early 2021

Developers Motion Twin and Evil Empire have announced a new DLC pack for the excellent Dead Cells. Here’s what we know so far about the Fatal Falls DLC.

Dead Cells is a game all about being a lethally effective shinobi that’s able to overcome anything and everything. As you blast your way through the various dangerous levels of the game, you will have to contend with lots of strange monsters and deadly traps. The repetition of the actual rogue-like gameplay is overcome very well, and it’s all a good time. There is a lot of variety in both levels and enemies, and Dead Cells made excellent use of the whole mix. Even the NPCs in the game even added to the enjoyment. And all of that’s getting better with the new DLC.

And since the base game managed to sell more than 3.5 million copies, it looks like this new item will be pretty hot.

Players will also get to jump around new levels that share the same enthusiasm and creativity in the Fatal Falls DLC. Fatal Falls will contain two new biomes known as The Fractured Shrines and The Undying Shores, each bringing new items and challenges to the game. The goal seems to be to shake things up and offer a solid challenge for both new and returning players. And judging from the title, there’s going to be a fair amount of platforming puzzles and reflex tests involved. The premium DLC will add two new mid-game levels, a new boss and more weapons as well.
