Dead by Daylight details newest RIFT update

Dead by Daylight Tome II update

Behaviour Interactive has just launched a new update for their smash-hit horror multiplayer title, Dead by Daylight. The Tome II update bolts onto the 3.5.0 patch from earlier this week to alter content and add some new options for player progression. The developer also deployed the 3.5.0 update to the game as well this week. That patch fixed bugs and altered some existing content.

Dead by Daylight has been putting a great amount of effort into pushing new survivors and killers into the game, and with the new Tome II update, there’s even more scares headed your way. Previous updates have introduced iconic original killers, like The Plague. There have also been killers plucked right out of pop culture, with the inclusion of Ghostface from the Scream franchise.

The Tome II update is a bit more story-driven, at least in theory. Players will unlock new story threads via the Compendium and the new Rift challenges. Completing the various tasks and collecting charms from enemies will grant players unique outfits and other rewards. Charms will also be on hand for four of the game’s characters, including the Doctor, the Spirit, Jane Romero, and David King.

And speaking of outfits, some community-sourced items have landed in the game too. New costumes have been added both from community and developer designs. For example, Jake Park has a new Lunar New Year theme. While new looks for characters like Clown and Feng Min were designed with player input.

The developer also released a trailer for the Tome II update. Check out the trailer for the new update down below.

If you don’t have Dead by Daylight yet, it’s available on Steam now. The game even has a free trial. Use this to test the game on your machine and make sure it’s a game you want to play. Dead by Daylight is an asymmetrical multiplayer title, which is best played with friends, so I hope you have some bros who will play the game along with you. Sadly, there’s no splitscreen couch co-op available within the game.

The developer is also offering some sales on various elements as well. From now through Jan. 28, all Tome II characters are getting a 30 per cent discount as well. If you’re looking to grab some new content for this horrifying title, now is the time.
