If you’re one of those gamers that remembers the old GameFly commercials that saw angry people throwing shelves and CRT TVs off their roofs may feel a bit reminiscent with the latest Dark Souls Remastered commercial released today by Nintendo.
Dark Souls Remastered may be changing the graphics and controls of this iconic RPG for the Nintendo Switch, but they’re not ratcheting down the frustrating difficulty, if this trailer is any indication. It’s a pretty funny little dig at the game and it’s fanbase, it’s good to see Nintendo hasn’t lost their charming humor.
Dark Souls Remastered lands in Japan for the Switch on October 18th, and the international version comes out on October 19th. Dark Souls Remastered is an updated version of 2011’s dungeon crawler, itself a spiritual successor to 2009’s cult classic Demon’s Souls.
