Check out some sweet new gameplay for Switch exclusive Daemon X Machina

Daemon X Machina

Daemon X Machina is a new game coming to the Nintendo Switch from MARVELOUS!. That team includes two really big names. Kenichiro Tsukuda who was the producer on multiple Armored Core games over the years. The other vital person on Daemon X Machina, is Shōji Kawamori. The man is a legend in the mecha fandom for his work designing multiple mecha for an entire library of anime and video games, which includes many Armored Core games. Monster Hunter Stories Director Ken Awata and Chief Designer Ken Karube are also lending their talents to the project.

Daemon X Machina has players take control of an Arsenal, a fully customizable mecha, and the game pulls a lot of gameplay elements from other mecha games. Using a variety of weapons and equipment, players do battle with enemy groups, and to the victor go the spoils, because you then get to scavenge downed enemy Arsenals if you win.

As for style, this game has lots of it. Daemon X Machina is flashy and over-the-top, and it looks like great fun as a result. Players have a ton of mobility and visual styling options for their Arsenal. So if you wanted to dash around arenas in a brightly colored recreation of your favorite giant robot, you could do that here.

You can check out a bunch of gameplay videos down below. We’ve included the most recent Gamescom 2018 gameplay footage, but there’s also some E3 footage, as well as the original announcement trailer. The game is due out sometime in 2019.
