Conan Exiles is getting a brand-new expansion called Isle of Siptah, which brings modding tools and other content to the game. it’s just been announced, so detailsa ere a little light. Here’s everything we know about it so far.

Release date

The Conan Exiles: Isle of Siptah expansion is due to release in early access on September 15 for PC. The game will be at a price of $19.99 for the period of early access, before coming out in its fully done form sometime in 2021. The exact date is not known yet, but it will come sometime in that window. At the very least you can enjoy the new content in stages as it’s added to the expansion during early access.

Funcom is adding the release for both PC and consoles, with later updates planned for the consoles versions of the game. There is no news on whether Conan Exiles will upgrade to next-generation consoles.

Isle of Siptah map content

The Conan Exiles: Isle of Siptah expansion will expand the variety of the map by adding new regions and other additions to the game. The expansion will send players into new challenges within the Exiled Lands, and will see an entirely new gameplay loop. The players looking to take on the expansion will start on a new island map with a brand-new character. From there they will find new outfits, building skins such as the flotsam-themed buildings, and new mounts with the Rhino joining the game. The island itself is plagued by new enemies and some very vicious storms.

That’s not all though, the expansion is bringing more beyond the new map. There are plenty of new items to craft, with new recipes attached. Players can even find some very interesting new secrets scattered around. One of the bigger ones is the giant storms plaguing the island tying to a new system called Surge. The Surge generates power for the island, and keeping it going is a big part of the ongoing story. There’s also a new Thralls system that ties into the Surge, allowing players to recruit NPC helpers.

The Conan Exiles: Isle of Siptah expansion will even pack in some new dungeons, but it goes beyond just new fights and loot. The goal for Funcom is to remix the gameplay loop in dungeons to make them more fun. The Vaults are getting introduced to bring in puzzle mechanics and some lore-inspired elements into the endgame grind.

There will be new options for building bases too. Players now have the option to construct water bases and tree bases on the new island.

Finally, players will also be getting support for new modding options as well. The modding scene will revolve around players making modded maps and sharing them with other players. Servers can now be expanded with entirely new map options that can be modded into the hosted game. You can even completely edit one of the preexisting Conan Exile maps in the game. In short, themed maps are coming to the game.
