Code Vein is getting rather close to its final release, and Bandai Namco wants to make sure you’re as hyped as you can be to take on the BOR parasite. To that end, the company has been pumping out a lot of trailers for the JRPG, all teasing different elements. This latest trailer is another in a series of boss trailers, showing off some deadly enemies inhabiting the apocalyptic world. A previous trailer showcased the vicious boss called the Successor of the Ribcage.
Now we can say hello to the Invading Executioner. This joyous bundle of death-dealing fun offers a nice little vacation, in literal hell. This fast-moving machine is going to wreck you, are you ready? It’s already horrifying, but the musical score adds an extra layer of strange high-energy and gothic themes that’s actually fitting, and more scary somehow.
Check out the newest trailer, showing off the deadly boss, down below. There are of course other trailers as well. There’s a great little mini-doc that shows development in progress, take a look at this behind-the-scenes trailer for that snippet. Another trailer even let players and fans get a peek at the Great Sword, a powerful weapon perfect for rending foes to bits.
There’s also some trailers also showing Revenants like Io, Louis, Yakumo and so many more. Each party member contributes their own story elements, creating the potential for interpersonal drama and a bit of immersion. The story in Code Vein centers around a bloodthirsty parasite that has ravaged humanity. Said infection has also caused horrible mutations that now stalk the land looking for prey. A special group of vampiric hunters have been created to try and tackle these threats, the Revenants, and you’re one of them.
Bandai Namco also revealed the system requirements for Code Vein, so check those out if you’re looking to grab the game on PC. The bloody action game is coming out on September 27th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
