Ever wanted to prowl the skies in a cyberpunk hellscape? There may be a new console game coming soon that lets you do just that. ION LANDS’ noir adventure Cloudpunk is finally coming to consoles after finding tons of success on PC. The positive reception of the game on Steam has lead to the developer going all-in on consoles.
So just what is Cloudpunk? The glamorous cyberpunk world gets off on a weird start, one you wouldn’t expect for a cyberpunk title. The player is in the role of a sky driver that’s locked into some very strange happenings, all as they simply float around the futuristic city. The concept of driving around the city is complicated since the game renders the driving in all three dimensions, as it’s put in-game, “this city goes down a hundred miles and up a thousand.” That backdrop of having to drive in such a chaotic environment is backstopped by a mystery and tons of chaos, it’s a ton of fun. You may just be a delivery driver, but that’s not all your life becomes as the story progresses.
