Check out the latest gameplay for Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

FromSoftware has released a batch of gameplay for Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice this week at Gamescom. Sekiro isn’t the typical FromSoftware game, so there’s a lot that fans of the Souls games will find incredibly different for this game.

One of the new focuses in Sekiro is on mobility. Players will now be able to zip around levels, adding a new level of verticality and strategy to combat in the game. And you’ll need to become competent at using that mobility avoid enemies constantly, because there’s an equally large stealth element in this game. But if stealth fails, you can still hold your own combat.

And speaking of clashing swords, there’s lots of that too. The combat looks gory and weighty. The fighting styles we see in this new bit of gameplay show off a unique fusion of Souls-style combat with fast-paced actions. It looks like positioning, parries and other tactics will be just as vital here as in other FromSoftware games as well.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is slated to launch on March 22, 2019, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Check out the latest gameplay footage of the game down below.
