Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Launch Trailer

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is finally coming out after more than four years of work. The game continues the legendary legacy of Castlevania and brings the side-scrolling exploration of the game world into a new era. Speaking less generally, it’s Symphony of the Night, but with shinier environments and brimming with a lot of stuff to kill, and an equally large amount of stuff collect.

As part of this reveal, developers ArtPlay, DICO and WayForward Technologies have promised to unleash a horde of free DLC for the game. The Metroidvania title that this particular trailer is for got its start back in 2015 on Kickstarter. The development team promised to bring a mix of action and some really weird genre tweaks that fans of the long-running genre. These mixes are best described as a mash of horror, goth elements and a bunch of really weird stuff. Trust me, it’s better than it sounds.

The DLC being teased includes a ton of new game modes like a boss rush, Chaos mode and new difficulty levels. Another set of free updates will include online and local co-op play. The other set of DLC for the title will be crossover content which includes new playabale characters like Shovel Knight.
