Capcom shows off “1-shot” demo and more gameplay for Resident Evil 2

Capcom isn’t messing around with the build up of hype ahead of the launch of the Resident Evil 2 Remake.

In addition to all of these trailers, which can be seen below, Capcom just released a limited time demo for players to peruse. But since there’s a strict 30 minute time limit, you definitely won’t be taking a leisurely stroll through the streets of Raccoon City. Once that timer runs out, whether you completed the demo or not, you’re locked out of accessing it. That demo is the focus of one of these trailers, while the other focus on general gameplay.

In terms of actual content, it’s mostly stuff anyone who has been paying attention has already seen. There are some newly rendered cutscenes featuring all of the major characters in these clips. So Leon Kennedy, Claire Redfield, and Ada Wong are all getting some time in the spotlight.

Capcom has a habit of releasing these kinds of teasers, here’s another batch of them focusing on more gameplay from a couple months ago.

The game will be launching January 25th for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. And it’s also getting a bunch of different versions of the game, including a collector’s edition and deluxe editions. There’s also a bunch of costume DLC packs to allow players to customize the look of the main characters.

And if you want to see more of the game in action, Capcom has plenty of treats for you. There was a recently released batch of trailers showing off sultry Ada Wong. The company also revealed new parts of the story involving the Birkin family, including some completely new areas. And in case you’re wondering, many of the iconic enemies from the original game are making a return, like the Lickers.
