Capcom publishes even more promo trailer for Resident Evil 2 Remake

Capcom isn’t slowing down the hype machine for the upcoming remake of Resident Evil 2, even though we’re less than a month away from launch. Today, the company released a set of new gameplay teasers showing more unseen footage of this particularly spooky zombie title.

There’s a fair bit of gameplay here, luckily all of the videos are pretty short, so it’s easy to work your way through them.

Throughout the course of the footage, we see the entire Birkin family, in various states of let’s say, distress. The father, William Birkin, becomes a mutated monster thanks to ingesting the G sample which Umbrella’s HUNK was attempting to recover. The resulting into the infamous “G” by Birkin became one of the more iconic boss fights in the original game, and the feeling of abject horror looks to have been faithfully captured in the remake.

We also see footage of the new area which was previously announced, the orphanage that Sherry Birkin has seemingly gotten herself trapped in during the outbreak. Leon and Claire will have to rescue young Sherry, but some people might be upset about that, namely her psychotic parents which have been driven mad by Umbrella bioweapons.

This isn’t the first set of gameplay teasers from Capcom either. Earlier this month the company released footage showcasing Ada Wong and other supporting characters. There was also some footage showing on Claire Redfield taking on the menacing Mr.X in close-quarters. The most recent batch of gemeplay showed a much more spiffy, and blood-covered, Raccoon City. You can check out the trailers released today down below as well.

Resident Evil 2 remake arrives on January 25 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
