Capcom launches “1-Shot Demo” for Resident Evil 2 on January 11

Capcom will unveil a"1-Shot Demo" for Resident Evil 2 on January 11th.

Are you eager to step into Raccoon City on January 25, 2019? Can you hardly wait to face down the city of undead and BOWs? If so, then you may be excited to know that Capcom has announced that they will be launching a special demo event running from January 11 to January 31, allowing fans on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC to experience the game ahead of its launch.

This demo has been named the “1-Shot Demo,” and tasks you with surviving the horrors of Raccoon City in 30 minutes. If you succeed, you get to check out a new cinematic trailer that is exclusive to the demo, and restart you mission as many times as you desire until you use up the full 30 minutes. If, however, you are defeated, then you can retry until your 30 minutes are up.

Once this time has elapsed, you will be unable to restart the demo, although you can view the cinematic as often as you wish, should you succeed in unlocking it.

The demo places you in Leon’s shoes as he arrives at the Raccoon City Police Station. As fans of the series already know, Leon doesn’t have the best first day on the job as he has to survive against vicious zombies and other creatures in order to make it out of the nightmare alive.

As the clock ticks down, the pressure increases as you attempt to figure out how, exactly, to survive the hordes of undead. Leon didn’t know what he was getting into when he accepted the job at Raccoon City, and, unless you are quick on your feet, his first day on the job could very well be his last day as well, as he joins the rank of Raccoon City’s living dead.

The game will be launching January 25th for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. And it’s also getting a bunch of different versions of the game, including a collector’s edition and deluxe editions. There’s also a bunch of costume DLC packs to allow players to customize the look of the main characters.
