The Wonder Trade has been a great way to finish off the Pokédex in recent games. Trading with random Trainers all over the globe has been fun as heck. It was also a great way to get rid of the random high IV Pokémon you have from breeding. I know I had plenty of starters from Shiny hunting in previous games that I wanted to get rid of. Wonder Trading was faster than releasing, so it was a great way to get extra roster members.
So people are asking, when will Wonder Trade in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl be a thing? This would be a great way to get rid of excess mons in boxes. It’s a fun thing to do while you’re playing online. There was a form of it in the older games, and it relied on the GTS, the Global Trade Station.
Can you Wonder Trade in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl?
In Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, Wonder Trade will be available once the Global Wonder Station (GWS) in Jubilife City opens. This system isn’t open in the game yet. We don’t know when this is going to happen yet, as neither Nintendo or Game Freak have offered any news on this. However, you can follow the official Pokémon Twitter page to receive the latest updates.
The GWS is offline right now, but it’s still in the game. The GWS is located in the same place as the Global Trade Station (GTS) in the original Diamond and Pearl games. As far as we know right now, this version will still be random on the Switch. Wonder Trades are completely randomized, where GTS trades where over specific monsters.
