Next wave of updates lands in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 - Multiplayer Overview

Treyarch has been quick on the draw with updates for their newest flagship title, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, and fans seem really appreciative of all of the content and updates over the last few weeks. And the progress doesn’t look to be slowing down either.

This past week Treyarch announced that there’s another slate of new features coming to the popular FPS.

One of the big annoucements is the delivering on a feature players have wanted since before the game even launched. That is of course activation of custom matches within Blackout mode. The custom modes won’t feature the full 100-player experience though, as they’ll be limited to 12 players at launch of this new mode. Custom games support solos, duos, and quads in terms of how many players can queue together.

The custom matches should feature custom rulesets, as well as full character customization. So this way players can create their ideal Blackout experience with their friends.

Another aspect being added to the game is skins for weapons, otherwise known as Camos. The company recently teased some of the new cosmetic items players can purchase. For 1,500 COD points (which is $20 considering you can’t just buy 1,500 points separately), players will receive access to the Valkyrie Mastercraft variant for the Paladin sniper rifle, as well as a special Valhalla-themed outfit for the Ruin specialist. In addition to those main items, players also get a slew of new calling cards. These Camos can also be earned by competing in multiplayer modes, as well as satisfying singlelayer challenges.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC. You should check out the latest trailer from Treyarch teasing some of these new updates down below.
