Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War teases new zombies map

How to unlock the Streetsweeper shotgun

A new patch has headed up the week in terms of news for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone. And speaking of that patch, it looks like the push for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone will be to focus on prepping for future updates. The newest patch does include some general stability fixes and performance improvements, including some tweaks unique to the PS5. To celebrate the launch of the patch, and to tease new content, a Double Weapon XP bonus starting from January 15 will run in the shooter.

Another bit of news comes down the pipe for the vaunted zombies mode. In a post to its Twitter account, Treyarch says, “Projekt Endstation was only the beginning,” The insinuation here is that the game is getting something new, based on various teases. The latest Zombie campaign includes references to this new content, but things are still very vague.

The photo shown above contains various teases to new content, giving users something to chew on while they wait. There are references to “Omega Outpost 25,” which might be a new map. The image also references some possible new character additions with the R initial signed at the bottom. No idea what’s actually coming based on that though. There is another reveal concerning Zombies mode though, namely that Treyarch will be running a free trial of sorts, starting January 14. This will last for one week.

Along with the previously added Streetsweeper shotgun bundle, there’s another cosmetic pack coming too. The new pack will drop on January 14, called the Disavowed Assassin bundle. This will include the Legendary Operator skin, the Organ Donor sword, and a new finishing move as well. Players can also expect a calling card and other cosmetics.

Following that is the Tracer Pack Indigo bundle on January 17. The Turbo Powered Legendary Weapon is joined along with the Great Pacific melee weapon for a dark blue and purple look. Along with that come emblems, charms and other visual items.
