The first major patch for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is here. The launch week patch will have a pretty major impact on the multiplayer as it introduces fixes and balance changes galore. Here’s what the first patch for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War includes.

The launch day patch adds a bunch of balance changes as well. Players will find that the MP5 has gotten a much-needed nerf. The scorestreaks for various examples are also reworked almost entirely.  The patch has a bunch of different fixes for crashes and other bugs as well. Those enjoying the multiplayer modes should find that the experience is a bit more stable now. Players should notice that pretty much every weapon has been adjusted in some way,

Treyarch rolled out a patch to nerf the MP5. However, a second update for Black Ops Cold War reverted that nerf, bringing the MP5 back to its unadulterated, overpowered glory. That’s not all though, as a new system called Season Leveling has been added too.

Season Leveling Added

Season Leveling is a new thing being added in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. After completing the first 55 Military Ranks and reaching Prestige 1, you get launched into the Season Leveling system. You can earn a variety of levels within the system and get a bunch of rewards for doing it. The game also adds new levels when you hit new Prestige Levels, with the max Season Level being unlocked at Prestige 3. This adds an entirely new dimension of the leveling in the game that should make it much easier to stick with the game long-term.
