Borderlands 3 reveals new Siren, Amara, in newest trailer

Borderlands 3 Amara the Siren Trailer

It’s that time of the week again, and by that we mean it’s time for yet another character spotlight trailer for Borderlands 3. Say hello to the new psychically-powered Siren, Amara. And much like the previous Sirens in the franchise, she wields an impressive suite of extremely deadly offensive powers fueled by the “magic” of Pandora and its weird ecology.

Amara is powered by much of same powers like Lilith, but she puts her own twist on things. Each Siren has an ability unique to themselves, albeit sharing similar characteristics. And Amara has a pretty unique set of powers.

You might think from looking at her fame and fortune that she’s grown soft from being the archetypal hero, although you would be very wrong. Don’t let her unassuming look fool you, her ability to spew out superheated energy projectiles alone is pretty threatening. And you better hope she doesn’t channel her inner Shiva and pummel you to bits with her badass energy arms. Amara also has multiple AoE attacks that she can use to stun and propel enemies away from her, making her abilities good for crowd-control in large fights.

Borderlands 3 is due out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on September 13. Watch the new trailer for Amara down below.

This marks the penultimate trailer for character reveals, as we’re still due one more trailer for the main 4 Vault Hunters. That last trailer will be for Fl4k the Beastmaster, but there’s a few other trailers you may want to take a look at. The first of the batch was for Zane the Operative, a snarky merc with an attitude. That was then followed up with Moze the Gunner, a badass with a big metal friend that does a lot of the heavy lifting in combat.

It’s great to see more of these Vault Hunter lunatics in action, and I’m willing to bet a lot of fans of the shooter franchise are very hyped indeed.
