Borderlands 3 Has Finally Been Announced by Gearbox Software

Borderlands 3 Teaser Trailer Revealed

Coming off of the teaser from yesterday, fans of the titular loot-shooter franchise Borderlands where reasonably excited to see the continuation of the franchise. That years-long wait has finally ended, as during a Gearbox Software panel at 2019’s PAX East, Randy Pitchford finally showed off the game.

During the course of the panel, Pitchford teased the audience multiple times and did just about everything he could to delay revealing the game.

When we finally got to see the trailer, we see multiple old and new characters, showing up in one form or another. Many of these we saw in the teaser yesterday, but it’s still nice to see them getting included. We see some new bandits getting taken down by Vault Hunters, more than a few of them you should recognize. There’s also teases of some new Siren abilities, and plenty of booms and blasts from the characteristically insane weapon choices. There’s also many new locales, and what we assume is a much larger map given the new vehicle choices we also get a glimpse of, like that badass roller.

Pitchford says that Gearbox has been working on Borderlands 3 for five years at this point and they are dedicated to making it the worthy successor that many have wanted since Borderlands 2. We’ll just have to wait and see if that promise actually delivers when the game finally comes out after all of this time.
