Bloober Team is working on a new game, specifically a horror title for the next generation of consoles. The developer has been well-known for its deeply psychological horror like the Layers of Fear series and the Blair Witch game. The developer has built quite the brand for mind-bending horror, and it looks like their efforts will continue with The Medium.
Bloober Team is planning to bring its latest psychological horror title, The Medium, to Xbox Series X and PC in late 2020. The story seems very intriguing. Players take on the role of medium Marianne, who has the ability to commune with the souls of the dead. She has her own dark past that she must confront throughout the course of the game, while also dealing with the disturbed spirits surrounding her.
The story takes place in Krakow, Poland, a place reeking with awful and disturbing history, so players will have to confront that to make their way through the game.
The Medium is the studio’s “largest and most ambitious project to date,” and it has enlisted Silent Hill composer Akira Yamaoka to create a soundtrack for the game. The fusion of Bloober Team and the legendary composer is sure to make the game much more compelling for hardcore horror fans.
