Black Desert Online Guardian

Black Desert Online and Black Desert Mobile will feature a special in-game event that will raise money for the earthquakes in Turkey and the wildfires in Australia that have left many homeless, wounded and dead in their terrible wake. Kakao Games and Pearl Abyss, the developers behind the MMO have announced the events as part of the global drive to help out with the recovery for these disasters. The fundraising event will run until February 19th.

Players who want to throw their money into the pot and buy Charity Tokens from Lara in Heidel for 1,000,000 Silver. Turning in 10 Charity Tokens during the quest A Little Donation Goes a Long Way will eventually earn the item called a Sprout of Life item, which gives +25 Interior Points, and +1 Energy Recovery for 2 hours. Silver donated in this manner will then be tabulated by the developers and donated to worthy charities.

Players who take part can earn special titles for their donations. Wingless Angel is the special title given to anyone who completes the special quest. The top 10 donors will earn the unique Angel title.

The developers want to raise 100,000,000 Korean Won (Approx. $84,000/€76,000) as part of the global efforts to bounce back from the natural disasters in Turkey and Australia. Gamers from all over the globe have come together in various ways to raise millions of dollars through Twitch streams, in-game events, and other promotions, now BDO wants in on the awesomeness. Robin Jung, CEO of Pearl Abyss, said: “We hope for a quick recovery and hope everyone affected can return to their everyday lives.”

This event will also coincide with more new features for the newly added Guardian Class. Debuting this past January, the Guardian brings wild ferocity to Black Desert Online. And now the developers are giving players new options to expand her abilities. With four new events, players will be able to take on a smattering of new quests to unlock different unique abilities for the Guardian. Completing these tasks earn special buffs from items like the Old Moon Scroll and Item Collection Increase Scroll.
