Black Desert Online is free to keep if you download it before March 10

Black Desert Online Guardian

Pearl Abyss has announced that their main MMORPG will be getting a free play period for all who want it. Usually, it costs just $10 USD to add Black Desert Online to your Steam library, but they’re waiving the fee for a short time. From now until March 10, Steam users can pick up Black Desert Online for free.

All you have to do is download it before March 10 to keep it forever. You can buy the premium versions to get some in-game boosts, but they’re not very necessary, just a nice compliment.

The buy-to-play structure has been very good for the game and its long-term success. The MMO has gotten tons of updates over the years. Constantly adding new classes has been a big thing for BDO. The game gave players tons of other regions to explore as well, and they were filled with new enemies to fight. And there’s no way the developers are going to stop doing that. So if you’re looking for a new MMORPG to play, here’s an easy option to pick.

And frankly, free-to-play games are usually a kind of hit-or-miss proposition. Every once in a while though, you find a good one. Some would definitely criticize the way the developer has approached certain monetization setups. The monetization scheme involves a ton of booster packs that are way overpriced, but you really don’t have to buy them.
