Nicalis has recently released a teaser for something called The Binding of Isaac: Repentance. There’s not much meat to the bones of this indie teaser, but we can expect more new soon.
For now, we’re just left with fan speculation and a few statements by Isaac creator Edmund McMillen. McMillen has stated before that he’s “never done” with The Binding of Isaac. And his feelings about Afterbirth+, the last official update, are well-known to fans. In short, he wished it could have been so much better than it turned out to be. So maybe Repentance is the continuation or redo of Afterbirth+ that fans always wanted. Whatever happens, fans will be holding their breath in anticipation, at least figuratively.
