New Around the Verse amps up the social aspects in Star Citizen

Around the Verse - Piano Man-Less

Sandi Gardiner and Chris Roberts return this week in the newest Around the Verse video for Star Citizen.

There’s been a bunch of updates on social aspects over the last couple of weeks with Star Citizen. One aspect getting some new content and fixes is the missions board. The team at CIG is streamlining the mission work behind-the-scenes to make their future efforts less tiresome. The teams are also working on optimizing the backend net code for the VOIP system to improve performance, as well as reduce data overhead.

And because of course, there’s even more improvements to the mining system in-game. The balance is being adjusted this week to make the system more stable and predictable. In terms of other game systems, visual updates are being applied to the world in an ambient sense to improve immersion.

There’s no pipeline update this week, but we did get a peek at some ongoing work on the Constellation Phoenix.

There’s even a new spotlight on another player event in-game. This time it was foot race organized by player groups, pretty fun.

Check out the most recent Around The Verse from CIG down below. You can check out the broadcast from last week over here too. Check out the latest patch notes on the official site. Cloud Imperium Games has currently raised $192,607,056 from 2,083,948 backers overall.

To see more Star Citizen news, check out some of the other Around the Verse videos, or maybe you want to see some Squadron 42 gameplay. CIG has also responded to ongoing player outbursts over “Pay-to-Win” currency systems, and finally, you should see some really cool ships being build to Star Citizen.
