Attack on Titan 2 gets new trailers and screenshots showing gameplay

Koei Tecmo released a bunch of trailers and a few screenshots of its upcoming action game Attack on Titan 2.

We get a look at the revamped combat in the first trailer. Combat has definitely been streamlined compared to the first game. There are new weapons and combat techniques that could drastically change the way you take down Titans. And I’m personally in love with the improvised grenade launcher that’s basically a barrel of gunpowder strapped to a launcher.

Much of the runtime of the other trailers focuses on the character customization and player agency for Attack on Titan 2. In this game, it looks like your choices in combat and dialogue could have some major impact on the story. But fear not fans of the source material, we get plenty of time to pal around with various characters from the anime as well.

The gallery of screenshots showcase a variety of features from the localized versions. There’s some peeks at branching dialogue trees, custom characters, even a bit of the R&D system in the game that drives equipment and defense upgrades.

Check out the screenshot gallery below:

Attack on Titan 2 will launch in the west for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on March 20th, 2018. The Japanese version will hit the shelves just a few days earlier, on March 15th.
