Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Deep Dive Trailer

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Deep Dive Trailer

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has been a pretty common thread in the games media recently. The next big entry in the legendary franchise is promising to change a lot. With a new setting and entirely new lore, players are about to dive into something very strange and exciting. The Viking world is such an interesting and crucial point in history and Ubisoft loves to take things to some wild places.

With the newest trailer for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla builds off of what we’ve already seen to hype up the game even more. Players already got a decent look at the mythical beasts and foes that inhabit the land, but now, we’re going in a new direction. Ubisoft has crafted the gameplay to blend both classic elements of the franchise to newer gameplay conventions. They will try to avoid missteps from newer games by focusing a little less on the grind. Gamers and fans get to explore the world in a RPG setup, wherein they also have to deal with the politics of the historical period. Forging alliances and building up your clan will be a key part of all this. How you perfect your political alliances, combat strategy, dialogue, and more will determine how well you do in the game.

Expect that to also tie into a fleshed-out loot system as well. The game will focus a lot on loot and gear progression, but while also making it simple to acquire upgrades. This will then tie into the combat in the new game. Players get all manner of different weapons like swords, axes, and shields. And yes, you can be a literal god on the battlefield and hack your foes to bits with dual-wielding and other neat tricks. Expect the typical counter-based combat to feature heavily in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

You even get to build out your own settlement with building upgrades and other choices. All of this looks to be getting blended together into one cohesive package when the game ships.
