Assassin’s Creed Odyssey post launch plan detailed, biggest ever in the series

Assassin's Creed Odyssey Post-Launch Trailer

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has finally released details about its expansive and long-term plan for new content in the game. It’s no secret at this point that Ubisoft is betting on the game as a “service” more than a one-off entry into an established franchise. And of course, this game has a huge Season Pass that contains the first major batch of DLC.

One cool option that those who pick up the Season Pass will have is that they get access to Assassin’s Creed III Remastered as well. This remaster is a full 4K remake of the original game, so fans should enjoy that.

In terms of actual DLC, Ubisoft has so far confirmed Legacy of the First Blade and The Fate of Atlantis as part of this pack.

Like we learned from all the other coverage, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will be a massive game, and Ubisoft will make the game much more huge over time. Ubisoft has also pledged to release various new in-game events and special quests that will debut alongside paid DLC. The Lost Tales of Greece, the Discovery Tour mode, a New Game Plus mode will all be part of these updates.

If you want to see more of the game, I suggest checking out the combat trailer. Or perhaps you want a peek behind-the-scenes in another trailer. And if you’re trying to get your sea legs, have a gander at some naval combat. There’s also a really extensive gameplay segment from PAX West earlier this month that showcases the game in a lot more detail. There was also the brand new TV spot from earlier this week.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is due for release on October 5 for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One. The Season Pass will be included in various versions of the game like it’s Collector’s Edition.
