You can watch Alexios take on Medusa, as well as explore various island locales like Lesbos and Chios. The big focus during this gameplay is all about end-game content and how the challenge and player progression ramps up. There’s lots of player upgrades and item paths that allow for tons of player choice. So if that’s your kind of thing, this may be the best Assassin’s Creed game ever for you.
Some players may be turned off by the loot grind aspect of the game, since it’s essentially just another layer of tedium instead of engaging storytelling, but that’s just the game Ubisoft is trying to build, take it or leave it.
If you want to see more of the game, I suggest checking out the combat trailer. Or perhaps you want a peek behind-the-scenes in another trailer. And if you’re trying to get your sea legs, have a gander at some naval combat.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey launches on PS4, Xbox One and PC on October 5, 2018. You can learn more about the game in general by heading over to the official site.
