Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Trailer wants you to “Defy Fate”
Ubisoft has released one more trailer for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, this one is to celebrate the launch of the game, and it’s doing a victory lap by asking the player to “defy fate”.
And though the trailer is pretty short, it’s very poignant. There’s some deep connections to the ongoing story of Alexios and Kassandra, and their own struggles to forge their paths without losing their way. At the core of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is a rather complex series of questions, ones that will test your moral commitments. Can you break the chains of destiny without losing what’s important? Will you free the people or become a tyrant? Will you see your dreams realized or fall into the pit of failure and despair? All in all, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey wants you to answer these difficult questions, but have fun along the way.
If you want to see more of the game, I suggest checking out the combat trailer. Or perhaps you want a peek behind-the-scenes in another trailer. And if you’re trying to get your sea legs, have a gander at some naval combat. There’s also a really extensive gameplay segment from PAX West earlier this month that showcases the game in a lot more detail. There was also the brand new TV spot from earlier this month.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is already available for pre-order on Amazon. You can check out this newest trailer for the game down below. The game will release for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 5th. And if you want to, go check out the post-launch and DLC plans for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
