So it turns out the the first live event for Assassn’s Creed Odyssey has been cancelled. The event for this week, featuring Damais the Indifferent, was scheduled to roll out on October 16. But apparently technical issues have made it impossible to deploy the event. The live events that Ubisoft revealed last week are to give players who have progressed to level 30 or above, the chance “to face challenging battles and earn Epic and Legendary rewards”. Although don’t despair too much, because the events will restart next week from October 23rd.
Although Ubisoft did deploy a small patch today with version 1.0.5, primarily a bug fix update but it did include some noteworthy tidbits. A handful of crash issues and other stability problems within the game have been addressed as of this patch. This patch only applies to Xbox One and PS4 versions so far.
PSA: This week’s live event was canceled – apologies for the inconvenience.
Rumor has it that Damais bailed at the very last minute. Apparently, he was intimidated by the idea of facing the misthios. He’ll give you a fair fight as soon as we track him down. ⚔️ pic.twitter.com/8NkluGgPkw
