Arkane’s PREY is free to own on Epic Games Store

Prey Mooncrash DLC

Epic Games has announced that Arkane’s PREY is currently free to own on Epic Games Store for a limited time. From now you will actually be able to grab three free video games. All three free games can be grabbed from now, until May 19th. PREY is actually just one of three games offered for free in this bundle. The other two entries are Redout and Jotunn. That’s a very unique mix. Redout: Enhanced Edition and Jotun: Valhalla Edition are included, which means you get all the DLC content, pretty cool.

Jotun: Valhalla Edition is a hand-drawn action-exploration game that offers a ton of Norse influences to have fun with. PREY is obviously a sci-fi horror action title that mixes a dystopian future and mysterious technology. Players had a ton of fun figuring out all the nonsense that was going on. Redout: Enhanced Edition is a futuristic racing title with lots of zany tracks to race on, and tons of wild cars to zip around in.

This trend of giving away free games to entice users is something that Epic has been doing for years now. Every few weeks, they give away some mixture of AAA and indie PC games to anyone that wants them. Despite this effort and the huge cost, there’s been little growth in the Steam competitor. Most gamers tend to just rush back to Steam for most of their gaming. Guess they had to put that Fortnite money to work somehow. Epic should probably work on the rest of those missing features in the EGS.

The sequel to 2016’s RedoutRedout 2 – is due for release on the 26th of May, so there’s a reason we’re seeing this game now.
