Apex Legends Season 6 is almost here, and it’s time for the inevitable press blitz to hype up the fans. Respawn has just released a new gameplay trailer for the upcoming content which teases a variety of changes coming soon. The big focus for this new trailer is all about map changes, a new hero, and so much more. As for new additions, we get to see the new Ultimate for Rampart, as well as the Volt energy SMG in action. Both of these look pretty fun, and devastating to enemies.
Apex Legends Season 6 will also include a new Battle Pass, with all of the requisite elements of new skins, weapons and more. The skins shown in the new trailer are very colorful, and although not very fitting for combat, but they’re definitely flashy and impressive. If you want to look snazzy on the battlefield, this may be the option for you.
The World’s Edge map is getting some attention as well. Various Points of Interest are being reworked a bit to change up map flow. There will also be some new additions too. The Rampart trailer teased a new space shuttle POI, which will be in the game when the update goes live. That will be nearby to the Dome. There will also be some changes made to Drill Site and Mirage Voyage, mostly changing up sightlines by adding new fortifications. This will also add more verticality to those areas as well.
The sixth season of post-launch content is coming soon with it landing later this month, and of course, being free for all. Apex Legends is free to play on EA Origin, but it will arrive on Steam sometime in the near future. The next season is due to launch on August 18.
