As E3 2019 approaches, Hideo Kojima looks to want to kick the hype for his newest game into overdrive. Death Stranding, the mysterious new mix of action, stealth and possibly horror has another teaser. And just like the Create the Rope teaser from yesterday, this one was posted by Kojima on Twitter, check it out below.
And of course, this new teaser trailer is just as weird as the previous ones. The “Help us Reconnect” line ties into the theme of the “Create the Rope” teaser from yesterday, showing a similar hands motif this time around. The background image appears to show Norman Reedus’ character Sam in his mech suit, the one he uses to travel around the increasingly haunting and dangerous landscape of the game. Although since we know almost nothing about the style of the gameplay and the world it exists in, it might be fairer to call it a HazMat suit instead.
We do know that Death Stranding will get one more major gameplay trailer tomorrow, May 29th. So come on back here around then to see that as well.
The game is due to come out sometime in 2019, although no firm date is set at this time. It will for sure be released on PS4, PS5 is a bit of a maybe at this point.
