Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Most Valuable 2×1 Items

How to duplicate items in Animal Crossing: New Horizons 1.2.0a

A new Animal Crossing: New Horizons dupe glitch has been discovered this week, opening the door once again to massive profits. With Nintendo nerfing the heck out of the banking system in the game by capping interest, players are left to exploiting the turnip market and other slowly accruing sources of Bells to pay for all the upgrades and items they want to place in their islands. And since there’s always going to be a need for more Bells, players want to speed up that grind. The first Animal Crossing: New Horizons dupe glitch was patched in version 1.1.1 and involved duplicating the free Nintendo Switch prop. This new exploit takes advantage of similar logic to the first glitch, but changes the target.

If you want to know how to do the new 1.2.0a Animal Crossing: New Horizons dupe glitch, check out our full guide, but the basics are like this. You take a set of tables, one being 2×2 and the other being 2×1 blocks, and place them within each other. The game causes the items placed on the 2×1 table to duplicate for each time you perform the glitch, meaning that you can make four of any item that can be placed on a 2×1 table.

It’s important to remember that this new Animal Crossing: New Horizons dupe glitch is not intended behavior for the game. As it both destroys game balance and exploits the in-game economy, expect Nintendo to fix the issue in the next update to the game.

There are actually some very valuable 2×1 props in the game. Keep in mind that you must use items that can be placed on a table, no floor-only or wall-mounted items will work. Some of the most valuable items must be crafted, with the most common ones being the various fish models. The cheapest items like the Lab set can be obtained fairly early and you can make a few thousand Bells each time you perform this exploit with something like that.

  • Great white shark model – 45,000 Bells
  • Whale shark model – 39,000 Bells
  • Arapaima model – 30,000 Bells
  • Oarfish model – 27,000 Bells
  • LCD TV (50 in.) – 24,750 Bells
  • Ocean sunfish model – 12,000 Bells
  • Katana – 2,500 Bells
  • Lab-experiments set – 1,500 Bells
