All Pokémon Go Spotlight hour events in April 2020

Pokémon Go

The Pokémon Go Spotlight events are timed and somewhat randomized each month. Each week, a certain Pokémon will be placed into the Spotlight. Each entry will kick off on a Tuesday from 6:00pm to 7:00pm in your local time. During that time, there will be many more spawns within your local area for this Pokémon.

Niantic has released all of the Spotlight Hour events and what Pokémon will available within each timeframe upfront. Previously the developer kept things a bit more hidden, but now they’ve been much more transparent about the whole thing. Here’s the list of the four new Pokémon Go Spotlight events for April 2020.

  • April 7: Purrloin will be in the spotlight and everyone will earn twice as much experience points for capturing them.
  • April 14: Mangemite will be in the spotlight, and everyone will receive twice as much candy for Mangemite after capturing it.
  • April 21: Wobbuffet will be in the spotlight, and everyone will receive twice as much candy for Wobbuffet after capturing it.
  • April 28: Pidgey will be in the spotlight, and everyone will receive twice as much experience for evolving this Pokémon during the event.

Niantic has been very good about pushing new events for their flagship mobile game. Players get to access all the game’s different events and raids easily now, thanks to changes made by the developer during the COVID-19 pandemic.
