All Ordinances in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Animal Crossing: New Horizons 2.0 is on the way, marking the last major update to the game. With both a free and paid update on the way, players have a ton of new customization options for their islands. With the Happy Home Paradise DLC. players will be able to place down some new paths. One such new addition is the ability to permanently place ladders in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

A big part of the new update is new ways to customize your islands and their layout. Players can make their island even work in different ways with Ordinances that do different things. The Ordinances are special policies that Nintendo is adding to ACNH to allow players to seriously alter their islands. These policies will be selectable from Isabelle in Resident Services. So yes, that means you need to have a fully upgraded Resident Services building.

Once you have that, you can go talk to your favorite neighbor to enact a new Ordinance.

Enacting an Ordinance

In order to enact an Ordinance, you will have to talk go to the Resident Services building and talk to Isabelle. In addition to the prior options in Isabelle’s menu, enacting ordinances will also be available. There are four ordinance options in the game. You can also revert to normal if you want to stop using one. You will also need to pay 20,000 Bells anytime you want to swap out an Ordinance.

There are four ordinance options that have been revealed so far. It is possible Nintendo will bring out more, although unlikely. The developer has announced that the 2.0 update and DLC will be the last major update to the game, aside from possibly minor events.

What each ordinance does

These new policies are just one tiny piece of the new ACNH 2.0 patch. There’s also added stuff to do with new NPC Brewster, as well as a bunch of new decoration options relating to the Pro Decorating License. Players can also get their hands on a new pack of Reactions.
