Courtesy of an exclusive feature on IGN, Capcom has unleashed a new trailer for the upcoming remake of Resident Evil 2. And this is just the latest entry in a long line of gameplay snippets and teases. We’ve already seen a promo trailer for the Birkin family, including a new orphanage area in-game. There also plenty more gameplay showing Ada Wong in all her badass glory.
This newest trailer comes to us as part of the build-up of hype ahead of the launch of the game next month. This trailer shows Ada Wong and Leon Kennedy as they trek through various iconic in-game locations, while starting to uncover the true nature of Umbrella and the t and G viruses. There’s also some minor teases of new gameplay aspects unique to Ada, but I won’t spoil those.
The game will be launching January 25th for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. And it’s also getting a bunch of different versions of the game, including a collector’s edition and deluxe editions. There’s also a bunch of costume DLC packs to allow players to customize the look of the main characters.
For those who didn’t know, the upcoming Resident Evil 2 remake will feature an entirely newly recreated Raccoon City, complete with new and remade locations, and plenty of iconic characters. All of the well-known locations have gotten some significant changes, like a new layout for the RPD, which results in a much more unique game that fans will very much appreciate. Resident Evil 2 remake will also have a much more sinister and spooky tone, thanks to the much more menacing enemies and level design.
Check out the latest trailer down below, featuring more of Leon Kennedy and Ada Wong as they try to uncover the mystery behind the outbreak in Raccoon City, and escape the catastrophe with their lives.
