Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown releases great launch trailer

Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown F/A-18 Trailer

Bandai Namco has released a ton of new trailers for their upcoming plane sim, Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown. The game features dozens of iconic military planes and the typical over-the-top action and warfare, a mix sure to make any franchise fan or Top Gun lover swoon.

The bulk of the gameplay shown off in these trailers is predictable, but fun nonetheless. There’s nighttime bombing runs, lots of aerial dogfighting, and lots of fast and pulse-pounding stunts like ducking beneath collapsing buildings.

Bandai Namco and Sony also teamed up to show off how the game will work on the PS4, which we can see in one of the trailers down below. Some of it is just standard actiony gameplay, while half of the trailer is dedicated to the PSVR mode that will be a major draw for the game on that particular platform.

You can find both of these trailers down below, and I recommend you do that, they’re pretty good. Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown will launch in Japan for PS4 and Xbox One on Jan. 17, 2019. It’ll come to North America and Europe on Jan. 18. A PC version will follow on Feb. 1.

And hold on, these trailers aren’t the only thing the developers have pushed out the door for this game.

In the case of plane highlights, there were videos for the F-18A , as well as the iconic Mig-31B and a trailer focusing on the A-10C Thunderbolt II. Then there was a trailer showcasing the Eurofighter Typhoon. The most recently released trailer for aircraft in Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown was the F-14D Super Tomcat. There was also one for Saab Gripen E.

If you want to get a more firm grasp on what the game will be like on release, there’s plenty of gameplay and other info to check out. You might want to check out the Collector’s Edition which features a scale model and the DLC season pass, if you’re a hardcore fan that is. There’s also a ton of screenshots showing gameplay elements and story to take a peek at. There’s also another longer bit of gameplay showing the “Long Day” mission.
