GreedFall is getting a new expansion, according to a report from The Spiders and publisher Focus Home. If you’ve wanted to dive back into the land of chaos, magic and 17th-century adventures, now’s the perfect time to prepare. The two companies have reached an agreement, in which Focus Home Interactive will be in charge of the publishing the new expansion and future content updates.
In the partnership with Nacon, the GreedFall expansion will be released to coincide with the launch of the ports for the PS5 and the Xbox Series X and S. This means that the new consoles will get new visual flair and new content to chew on. Add another game to the pile of next-gen ports. Focus Home Interactive didn’t reveal any other details though, so we’re still very much in the dark.
According to the press release for the announcement, details are sparse. It looks like the lands of Teer Fradee will get new areas to explore and quests to undertake, but that’s a given with RPG expansions like this. We could also see new storylines introduced that will bring new factions to the fray and add some new intrigue to the world of magic colonialism.
Released September 10, 2019, GreedFall earned plenty of rave reviews, many of which praised the inventive use of story can combat to create an immersive world. It’s a solid bet that this trend will continue with the new expansion. So far, no details are available for the release date and content of the new GreedFall expansion.
