The developer behind 8-Bit Hordes! and 8-Bit Armies is roaring back into battle with a new game, one that takes warfare to a galactic scale. 8-Bit Invaders! will let gamers relive their memories of blasting away alien legions from the early days of video games, and do it in style.
Drawing quite heavily on titles like Starcraft for it’s RTS-style gameplay, 8-Bit Invaders! is looking to create a fast-paced and destructive gameplay experience that allows gamers to take on a new breed of alien menace. The art even influences the gameplay, with a very classic design to many of the alien craft and units, evoking a 1950s aesthetic, which aims to aid in the updated retro feel that Petroglyph Games is clearly going for.
The founders of Petroglyph, known for their work on many successful RTS games such as Command & Conquer, definitely have a pedigree for working within these types of games, so we can reasonably expect a fun and quality experience with this latest foray.
