8-Bit Hordes is finally out for the PS4 and Xbox One, and Petroglyph Games wants you to now it, and they’re letting the world know in grand style. That’s because the launch trailer for the game is out, and showcases the mythical factions brawling with each other for supremacy.
And as a relatively inexpensive RTS title, any gamers looking for a strategy fix with a mystical twist can look upon 8-Bit Hordes with pride, and with not too much pain in the wallet. The game blends a Minecraft-y aesthetic with typical fantasy RTS trappings, making for a unique experience. As undead hordes bear down on human settlements, the stalwart defenders can call upon all manner of magical might to repel their enemies.
And undead and human foes aren’t the only challenge you’ll encounter. An impressive number of fantasy-themed forces dot the landscape, dragons, orcs, and all manner of other classical creatures charge across the battlefield at your whim. And since Petroglyph has some old school Command & Conquer talent to call on, the game is delivering all of this chaos with an air of pedigree and quality.
