S2N SOTA; Nulli throws lot in with Guardians of the Galaxy in Querious

Nulli Secunda has spent the last few months, after being evicted by Pandemic Legion, fighting on the side of Legion of xXDEATHXx. Nulli were hired on an expensive mercenary contract to help XIX in their war against Vanguard. As of their SOTA released yesterday, s2N have decided not to renew said contract.  They are instead redeploying the bulk of their assets to the Delve/Querious area alongside their former N3 friends DARKESHI under the Guardians of the Galaxy coalition formed by Sort Dragon.

This creates new political and military implications for those living and fighting in these areas. The desire to stabilize one’s space holdings prior to the dust storm of Fozziesov is a likely motivator for this decision. There are however those who are using the recent leadership departures from S2N to try and slam them as “running back to their old friends. The next few days will likely be quiet in the Querious region, at least until the wars over Fozziesov (at least the ones CCP are trying to force on players) begin.

July Alliance Update

We’ve come to the end of our contract in Uemon, and while it was a bit more of a slap-down, drag-out fight than we were expecting, we got some excellent brawls, our FCs have had some nice wins, Progod was seen a few times, and we did well enough that we got paid our completion bonus (which goes part-way to taking out the sting of dem dead supers) from XIX.  Its certainly been excellent content, and has been a lot of fun.

One of the core things about Eve Online is that it’s a terrible game to play by yourself. No one here wants to be completely on their own, certainly not all the time. It’s a game whose flavour is bland until we add in the spice of other people, like delicious soylent green.  And it’s best shared with others.

It’s true for players, for corporations, and alliances.  If you’d been paying attention the last 6 months, you’d notice we’d done pretty well at isolating ourselves and N3 seemingly couldn’t wait to disband. There’s basically no one in eve getting far while being exclusionist, so it’s a trend we intend to turn around.  #FuckBlues is a pipe dream unless you have bottomless wallets, more FCs than corp directors, and enough in fleet to be able to bring more than one exit cyno (preferably with LO).  When we get to this point I’ll be sure to have Guderian and Pilot endlessly ping about it.

The game is about to enter uncharted waters.  People suspect, but no one really knows what Fozziesov is going to do to nullsec.  It’s going to be an exciting time (actually sitting there with an entosis link running excluded).  At the same time CCP will be shaking up the fleet meta again with their various nerfs and buffs.  This next patch will force a lot of changes to how people operate across nullsec.  Many territorial changes are already happening, N3 is no more, the CFC has drawn itself closer together and solidified its borders, Brave is was in Fountain, Darkness. is gathering allies to them in the new Querious coalition.

One thing’s for sure – It’s dangerous to go alone.

Delve & Querious beckon, our ancestral homeland.  For the first time in about 3 years or more, Delve is free of the large bloc.  N3, CFC, Test and HBC have all owned delve for the last few years, and only now is the group of occupants unaffiliated.  Delve, Querious, PB and Fountain are all separate entities for now.

Darkeshi never fully gave up on the Delve/Querious area, holding onto it tenaciously through the departure of NC. and the purging at the hands of the CFC.  Now, Sort Dragon has drawn a not-inconsequential number of allies around him, forming into the self-styled Guardians of the Galaxy, but thats a mouthful so lets just call them [GG] for now.

On the other side, Pizzaco –  The Elite Space Coalition [ESC] – hold Delve, left to take it without harassment in the aftermath of the CFC retaliation on NC’s Fountain invasion.  Both [ESC] and [GG] have interests in Period Basis, fighting a small proxy war with the two groups that split the region.  It’s into this thunderdome we’re heading, to claim our stake and make a home.

The old timers (anyone who was here before 2012) will tell you how good delve was before all the blocs and the blues, if you give them half the chance.  Panic geddons and gilas, amirite?  And back then we didn’t have SRP, and more people showed up to fleet anyway.  Content will be on tap, Delve and the area surrounding being a good hot zone for the forseeable future.  Fozziesov will demand small gangs and roaming in both attack and defense, and larger content will be there as we move to take a new home for ourselves, all the while getting behind the boys in the Tournament squad.

Operations will be beginning shortly after we are settled, we’ll have new services to sign up to, dust off your jabber client if you switched to mIRC (personally i just stayed on pidgin as it does both).  We’ll have space and moons to take, and coalition fleets will be forming to this end as well.  Sign up for coalition services here – https://darkness-all…e.com/register/ – Its mandatory, so go and do it.

Doctrines, Meta, Fleet Warps and You.

CCP are changing the way fleets work again, and adding new modules, tweaking some systems, nerf-hammering others.  Nulli Secunda has always prided itself on its individuality and interesting doctrines, so we’ve no worries on this front.  I’ll tell you this for free though – train missiles if for some strange unpatriotic reason you haven’t already (I mean, rattlesnake fleet guys).

Sell your TFIs if you want, we won’t be taking them.  We’ve only room for one BS doctrine and the Rattlesnake is far more versatile and scales with fleet sizes better than the blob-centric alpha doctrines.

The shield loki will be shelved for now, armour T3s will be coming in their stead.

Ishtars would appear to be getting the arse at this point, CCP continuing to make the venerable shieldtar unviable, and they might have finally done it by removing the midslot.  We may dust off the old armour ishtar again, we’ll see.

The Cerberus will be getting a revival in the absence of the shieldtar, it’s really the best HAC on field now.  Train Heavy Missile spec up, Rapid Lights are still superior but with heavy missiles getting buffed we might see a return.

Jackdaws and Svipuls will be a thing, either as support in larger fleets or in fleets of their own, roaming and entosising things, or chasing down people who would do the same to us.

Blops, small gang PVP, cloak fagging and hunters will probably be in demand as well, time to get out your pilgrim, stratios or other wtfpwn boat.
